Das Schicksal der MARABU
Nach dem Bau 1935 segelte der legendäre 100er Seefahrkreuzer MARABU zunächst unter der deutschen Reichsflagge dann unter der Royal British Navy und später in englischem Privatbesitz quer durch Europa bis nach Amerika zu Regattaruhm.
Anfang unseres Jahrhunderts verfiel die Yacht mit den phantastischen Linien jedoch und war beim Kauf durch Josef Martin in Radolfzell 2009 nicht mehr schwimmfähig. Nun wird sie restauriert und erhält Glanz und Ästhetik ihrer ersten Jahre zurück.

The fate of MARABU
After its construction in 1935, the legendary 100sm Windfall MARABU sailed first under the German Imperial flag then under the Royal British Navy and later in private English ownership across Europe and abroad to America for regatta fame.
At the beginning of our century, however, the yacht with the fantastic lines fell into disrepair and was no longer seaworthy when Josef Martin bought it in Radolfzell in 2009. Now it is being restored and will regain the beauty and elegance of its early years.
